Since launching 16 months ago, The Cookie Project has provided employment to over 30 Kiwis living with disabilities, generating over 900 hours of fun and meaningful employment. The Cookie Project provides a platform for people to be seen, heard, valued and appreciated!
The cookies are delicious bite-sized morsels, perfect for children’s lunches and snacks. The chocolate chip cookies are especially yummy, bursting with Trade Aid organic chocolate drops – nom nom nom!
Founders Eric and Graeme met at a community event in 2017. Graeme shared his story about the difficulty of looking after three disabled youths and Eric was very moved and wanted to help but not sure how, until Graeme shared his home made cookies with Eric. Eric was immediately hooked on the cookies and the two came together with a shared dream of starting their first social enterprise and The Cookie Project was born! Graeme’s three adopted children are the inspiration behind the three faces on the Cookie Project logo.
As part of our commitment to support this awesome social enterprise, certified by Ākina Foundation, we are selling Chocolate Chip cookies in all Trade Aid stores and online, while the Cookie Project builds distribution through supermarkets and other retailers.
