Sidama co-operative union represents more than 80,000 small-scale farmers who come together to gain power through their collective efforts. Working together under fair trade conditions enables them to earn maximum value for their coffee beans, to invest in training and advance the quality of their crops. As a co-operative they fund improvements to schools, increase access to electricity and clean water, and construct roads, bridges and health clinics for the benefit of their communities.
