The New Year brings a new, refreshed look to our range of handmade soap. We’ve updated our packaging design and our formula, but the range of fragrances you know and love remains the same, including Neem with its healing qualities, the freshness of Lemongrass, floral scents of Rose and Jasmine, and the warm and earthy Sandalwood and Cinnamon.
An improved recipe means we’ve eliminated the use of sustainably-sourced palm oil. Even though the palm oil we were using was completely sustainable, this refreshed formula means you can enjoy your favourite fragrances, made with the same gentle ingredients and essential oils, without the palm oil. Our soap is gentle on the skin, provides a moisture-rich lather and are not tested on animals.
Gardeners and Handyman soaps are now repackaged into smaller units and renamed Exfoliating Poppy Seed and Exfoliating Coco Husk respectively. Both provide gentle exfoliation. Our Coco Husk soap is fragrance free.
Trade Aid soap is lovingly made by hand by the skilled artisans working with Palam Rural in Southern India. Palam Rural is an empowered group of talented artisans who have achieved economic independence and respect within Indian society through fair trade. Their work to achieve equality in housing and education for the next generation has reduced stereotypes and discrimination associated with their belonging to a lower caste within Indian society.
The new packaging designs were created locally by the Trade Aid product development team, then screen printed by hand in India onto beautiful textured handmade paper.
Available at all Trade Aid stores and online.
