This soap contains locally sourced products from sustainable plantations, such as coconut, cacao, tamanu and niang (turmeric). The wonderful healing qualities of coconut oil, combined with other locally sourced, natural ingredients, has meant that Coconut Project have been able to produce a soap which cleans deeply but gently.
Virgin Coconut Oil: A single coconut tree produces coconuts quickly and regularly for up to 75 years. When prepared naturally and traditionally, using a wet-milling process and with minimal heating, the coconut contains a powerful list of antioxidants, and because of its unaltered chemical structures, it is readily absorbed into the skin.
Niang (Turmeric): The local Niang plant is used for its flavour in cooking and for its colour in dyes and natural paints. Turmeric is an excellent exfoliating agent and can help eliminate signs of ageing. Turmeric is also effective in the treatment of acne due to its antiseptic and antibacterial properties which fight pimples and breakouts and provide a youthful glow.
