These darling red flower teacandles each sit in their own individual metal trays and come in a handmade paper box. These tea lights are created using simple equipment such as a container on a gas stove and moulds. Firstly paraffin is boiled and perfume and colour is added if required. The candle wick is dipped in the boiled paraffin which is then stripped off to make it straight and trimmed to length. The boiled paraffin is poured into moulds and left to begin setting before the candle wick is added and the wax is shaped to suit. Once the paraffin is completely set, it can be removed from the mould and additional decoration can be added before final packaging. Handmade by villagers in Chiangmai working with Y Development, one of our fair trade partners in Thailand.
