This vibrant Tasha drum has a clay body painted in rainbow colours, a leather skin and bamboo beaters, it has a loop to attach to your body if needed. The Tasha is a traditional Indian kettle drum which can be played by hand or with the beaters included. Hand crafted by skilled artisan working with Equitable Marketing Association (EMA), one of our fair trade partners in India. EMA buy the clay body from producers in the village, artisans polish the body with gala and colour it. Softened moist leather is then stretched over the body and tightened with a long thin string made from dry leather.
