This vibrant banana fibre and raffia placemat is hand woven with vibrant concentric circles. Crafted using traditional skills, and coloured using natural dyes. Bundles of banana fibre strands are wrapped in the young leaves of the raffia palm, these are then coiled and stitched into shape. Handmade by skilled artisans working with National Association of Women Organisations of Uganda (NAWOU), one of our fair trade partners in Africa.
