These cute glasses cases are handstitched from felt. Felting is a traditional craft in Nepal which was in decline, but the Association for Craft Producers (ACP) have played a big part in reviving the craft. Felting is a very simple process. Basically it is rubbing wool with hot water and soap. Different shapes are given in the process of felting by using moulds, before the final product is dried. All of the felt producers are women with some living in the Kathmandu valley, but most on its outskirts.
Please note this is for one case and as they are assorted it will be luck of the draw which one you receive.
