This beautiful basket is hand woven from banana fibre wrapped with vibrant raffia. Handmade using traditional skills, and coloured using natural dyes. Bundles of banana fibre strands are wrapped in the young leaves of the raffia palm, these are then coiled and stitched into shape. Handmade by skilled artisans working with National Association of Women Organisations of Uganda (NAWOU), one of our fair trade partners in Africa.
