This brightly coloured cotton and jute rug is handmade from strips of waste fabric braided then sewn into a circle, with a ring of jute circles bordered with braided cotton, and finished with jute and cotton braids. Hand crafted by skilled artisans working with Aspiration International, one of our fair trade partners in India.
As these rugs are handmade from off cuts each rug is slightly different but have similar colours.
Aspiration International
Master artisans are created through Aspiration International. Business support and mentoring encourages artisans to open their own workshops, and to pass their intergenerational skills along to the next generation by employing young artisans utilising traditional handicraft skills.
