This large sleek coconut bowl with base is handmade from the discard shells of coconuts, turning a waste product into an object of beauty and utility. The coconut shell has been sanded smooth and it sits on small turned base, it is food safe, lightweight, durable and completely biodegradable. Handmade by skilled artisans working with Equitable Marketing Association (EMA), one of our fair trade partners in India. As this is a natural product each coconut bowl is slightly different.
Before using rinse the coconut bowl with warm water. Cleaning it by hand rather than using the dishwasher. Please do not soak.
Cold foods only, please avoid hot foods.
Heat, the refrigerator, dishwasher, or microwave, can damage the bowl. Polish with coconut oil after every 10 uses to regain its original finish.
