Double Cane Flute
Product Code: 17.02.610A
These two fipple flutes are bound together, with the shorter pipe having two fingerholes and the larger having three.
They are made from cane, cut to a suitable length, and played like the recorder; and like the recorder, they are real instruments and must be learnt. They sound quite pleasant.
The technique for blowing both pipes at once will take a bit of getting used to: you need to hold them slightly to one side so both beaks enter the mouth and can be blown at one and the same time, while ensuring you don't cover the windway with your mouth and muting the sound. Learning how to play a melody in harmony is going to take a little longer.
