Trade Aid is a not for profit, fair trade organisation working to improve the livelihood and well being of our disadvantaged producer partners and seeking greater justice in World Trade.
This is a fulltime position to cover parental leave and requires applicants to be friendly, motivated and reliable and exhibit a strong knowledge in retail sales, customer service and staff management. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to handle a varied workload while leading your team to continual improvements.

more»The right person for this internally based position in our Christchurch office will be capable of developing, nurturing and growing our existing and new customers.
Your key daily tasks will be:
• Answering incoming calls and emails relating to our craft and food products
• Ensuring all customers are provided with an efficient and professional level of service
• Dealing with and investigating queries and taking full responsibility to ensure they are resolved
As an integral part of our Sales team you will also be involved in making contact with our customers to discuss promotions and sales issues.
This role has the potential to develop and grow, with future additional responsibilities being offered to the right person. Therefore key skills required are:
• Committed to providing a high level of customer service
• Fluency in English, have strong written and oral communication skills, and ability to work unsupervised.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to problem solve and think innovatively
• Strong relationship building capabilities at all levels of the organisation
• Competent user of IT systems
You will be able to meet and welcome the challenge of our changing business requirements.
Previous customer service experience is preferred but not essential as full training will be provided to the successful applicant.

Minimum roster is one full day (approx 9am to 3pm) per week.
