more»The Product Manager (Handcrafts) is responsible for the purchase, pricing and stock management of craft product from our overseas producers.
Your key tasks will be to:
• Purchase and set pricing for homeware and handcraft lines within predetermined guidelines
• Keep abreast of key trends and consumer buying patterns in relevant product categories
• Monitor and analyse sales data
• Manage stock levels within the wholesale area of our business
• Work closely with trading partners to build strong relationships and grow their sales
As this is a fixed term (parental leave) position, the appointed person will have
• Experience in a buying role, preferably with a focus on homeware/handcraft items.
• Previous experience in pricing and sales analysis
• The ability to identify market trends and future consumer buying patterns
• Strong written and oral communication skills, and the ability to work unsupervised.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Competent use of IT systems, particularly Microsoft Excel.
Some overseas travel may be required.

Trade Aid is a not for profit, fair trade organisation working to improve the livelihood and well being of our disadvantaged producer partners and seeking greater justice in World Trade.
This is a fulltime position that requires the applicant to be friendly, motivated and reliable and exhibit a strong knowledge in retail sales, customer service and staff management as well as have a flair for merchandising. You will need to have excellent communication skills and be able to handle a varied workload while leading your team to continual improvements.

Minimum roster is one full day (approx 9am to 3pm) per week.
