    Situated in the Segovia region of northern Nicaragua, more than 2000 families are members of the co-operative. As well as providing higher income directly to coffee farmers, PRODECOOP also finances a revolving social fund used to build and repair members’ homes, ever-improving coffee production facilities, and an educational support program which includes scholarships and free school materials for students
